Ashby Trade Sign Supplies Ltd are delighted to announce they have acquired the exclusive rights to manufacture and sell the portfolio of sign products from Sign Makers Products Ltd, with effect from January 24th, 2012.

Ashby's General Manager, Steve Nicholas, has admired the innovative products and service that Mike Smart has brought to the sign industry over the past 43 years. Steve is sure that SMP's loyal customers will join him in wishing Mike Smart a long, healthy and happy retirement.

Included in the purchase is the extensive stock holding of aluminium extrusion, the extrusion designs and dies, trademarks and manufacturing equipment. These are currently being relocated from SMP's Norfolk base to newly acquired premises at Ashby's factory in Berkshire. Ashby assure all SMP customers that it is very much business as usual with manufacturing already underway in Berkshire.

Steve Nicholas adds "the SMP products are a great fit with ours and complement our existing sign range and accessories. Excitingly we can now manufacture many tried and tested products in-house: Trough Lights, Light Boxes and Panel Framing systems."
